Unlikely double act Jonathan Rhys Meyers and John Travolta team up for a tongue-in-cheek, slam-bang action romp set in Paris.

Meyers’ starchy US embassy official gets more than he bargained for when he teams up with Travolta’s visiting CIA agent, a loose cannon whose pursuit of a Pakistani terror cell is soon racking up an impressive body count.

The goatee-sporting, shaven-headed Travolta throws himself around with gusto and Meyers makes a good foil for his antics – watch for the Pulp Fiction in-joke reference to a ‘Royale with cheese’.

The film doesn’t stint on the bruising and bloody violence, while the film’s casually racist attitude also makes for uncomfortable viewing.
