Robert Downey Jr’s billionaire inventor Tony Stark, aka superhero Iron Man, tries to unmask the terrorist mastermind behind a series of global bombings.

Ben Kingsley’s The Mandarin has a few surprises up his sleeve, while two figures from Stark’s past – old flame Rebecca Hall and tech guru Guy Pearce – also spell trouble.

If that wasn’t enough, Stark is suffering anxiety following 2012’s Avengers Assemble, so it’s a good job that Gwyneth Paltrow’s right-hand woman Pepper Potts is holding the fort at Stark Industries.

This third solo outing is another winner and Downey Jr delivers the stream of snarky one-liners with zing.
