If you’re a Justin Timberlake fan, nothing we can say will keep you away from this documentary. So this preview is aimed at non-Lakers, who may not know that it’s directed by Jonathan Demme.
He made the Talking Heads film Stop Making Sense and Neil Young: Heart of Gold, two of the best concert documentaries of all time.
And that’s what this is, a great gig movie, with Demme giving us a glimpse backstage before introducing the dancers, singers and backing band – the Tennessee Kids.
After that it’s 80 minutes of pure JT, all the hits, plus the odd cover, delivered with enough energy to convert the doubters.
