Kate reels from the news that she has Premature Ovarian Failure, and when Karl explains that it is unlikely she will be able to have children, she’s devastated – keeping the news to herself. When she cancels on Paul’s house-warming, Mason asks if she’s OK. But Kate isn’t ready to talk yet and when she and finds herself crying in Kyle’s arms, she quickly covers.

Lucas and Vanessa are clearly stressed about their financial situation and can’t see a way out. Lucas tries to reassure Vanessa by lying, claiming he has work lined up the following week, but the only option he can see is to get another loan. Chris cautions against getting further into debt but Lucas is determined to stop Vanessa worrying.

Paul’s penthouse is ready for him to move in. Later, Mason goes to pick Kate up to take her to the dinner she tells him she doesn’t feel well and insists he go on his own. Mason’s not looking forward to dinner alone with Paul so Sheila steps in with a plan to give Paul a house-warming party.

Georgia has a cracking day at work when she diagnoses a young patient with meningitis. She wants to celebrate the win with a night out, but Kyle is busy comforting an upset Kate.
