At the start of the season, many pundits were convinced the battle for the Premier League title would be fought out by Manchester City and Manchester United.

But these teams have simply underperformed, and are facing off at the Etihad tonight (kick-off 8.00pm) to either stay in the Top Four (in City’s case) or reach it (here’s looking at you, United).

It was supposed to have been so different, what with superstar manager Pep Guardiola coming in for City, while serial winner José Mourinho took the reins at United.

Both are way behind leaders Chelsea (and second-placed Tottenham, for that matter), but will be readying themselves for the battle next season…
