Taking instruction from her unborn baby, heavily pregnant Ruth (Alice Lowe) goes on a vengeful killing spree.

This pitch-black British comedy from writer-director-star Lowe was filmed when she was herself seven months pregnant.

Ruth’s hormonal rampage isn’t particularly tense or funny (although it doesn’t stint on the gore), but Lowe pulls off her provocatively bizarre conceit with straight-faced conviction.

Fans of Ben Wheatley’s darkly comic road movie Sightseers, co-written by and starring Lowe, will certainly enjoy this one too.
