There’s nothing sweet about The Apprentice candidates, but nevertheless this week’s task is all about sugar (isn’t it every week?).
The teams must create their own delicious treats in industrial kitchens (we’ve always found this part quite strange and unfair – does being good at marketing sweets really mean you have to be able to roll out the sticks of rock yourself?) before selling their intriguing concoctions to businesses and tourists on Brighton seafront.
Let’s hope all of the goodies cheer up Karren Brady, who seems particularly exasperated with this year’s hapless bunch – you know it’s bad when fierce interviewer Claude looks like the friendly one! Salt and vinegar fudge, anyone?
