Amy Adams to star in and produce film

08/02/2012 - 14:52

Adams is set to star in a movie adaptation of Steve Martin's novel Object Of Beauty.

The Muppets actress will also produce the flick with Maven Pictures producers Trudie Styler and Celine Rattray, according to The Hollywood Reporter's Risky Business blog.

Amy Adams, 37, will star as a young entrepreneur with big plans in the art world. After starting off at Sotheby's, she rises swiftly through the ranks and goes on to buy a gallery.

So far there's no word on who will direct the feature.

Styler and Rattray said: "We couldn't be happier to be working with the brilliant Amy Adams on this adaptation of Steve Martin's smart novel."
