Sandra Bullock's box office record

05/01/2010 - 14:42

Sandra Bullock has broken the record for the highest-grossing female-led film of all time at the US box office.

The 45-year-old stars in The Blind Side, which has so far taken 208.5 million dollars from cinema-goers, making it the first movie with just one A-list female lead and few other big name stars to take over 200 million at the box office, Variety reports.

The Blind Side has even beaten Julia Roberts' Pretty Woman, which took 178.4 million.

The Blind Side, released in the UK on March 5, sees Sandra star as a middle-class woman whose family adopts a talented but impoverished American football player.
