At Last Life On Mars is coming back, this month, for a second series... remember; the modern Police detective, Sam Tyler, who had that road traffic accident -and then he was somehow sent back to the 1970s!
Its a geat program, and if you've not seen it before, have a look at a couple of episodes:)

I saw the trealier on the news section of this site last week. I can't wait to see the second series. I was really annoyed when at the end of the last series they didn't explain why how he went back in time. Just hope there's an explanationj at the end of this one.

I really hope they don't just keep us hanging on series after series and then not tell us why he's in the Seventies. You can just see it ending after series five then the BBC deciding not to make another series and us never finding out what it was all about!

I hear that this (second) series of Life On Mars will be the last, and that all will be revealed in the last episode.
I am also looking forward to seeing the lovely Liz White, who plays WPC Annie Cartwright -though to be honest; all the actors/characters are great.;)
IMHO... for the time travel solution; Sam Tyler is in a Coma, and we are seeing his dreams of being a 1970s' detective -though, of course, I may be totally wrong:confused:

The other day on BBC1 i saw what seemed to be a "look whats coming" clip. The scene showed Sam Tyler as a trompton character. It then showed Gene the detective (as a figure) hitting this thief!!
Did anyone else see that?

Yes, I have. And the BBC have repeated it several times.
The trailer's a bit gimmicky, and it would've been better to have seen an (actual) live action trailer -but you can't have everything, I guess!
The series returns on Tuesday the 13th February, I believe... not long now:)

I love this show, Life on Mars. I reckon he's dreaming it & he always finds something to do with the time he left behind.

Good episode last night (Tuesday 12th February).
Sam Tyler haunted by the criminal (in the present) tourchering his comatose body, whilst in 1973 Sam is bringing the same (younger) crim. to justice.
I must say, I thought DCI Gene Hunt and WPC Annie Cartright were going to lock Sam up, at times, as he struggled to survive his present day demon.
WPC Annie Cartright (Liz White) was brilliant, as ever, (sigh) and Gene Hunt was at his manacing best:D
Episode Rating for Episode 1, Series 2... 9/10

I've a feeling that Life On Mars will be repeated on one of the Digital BBC channels, at some stage -but isn't series One out on DVD format! Perhaps you should put them on a wish list for your next birthday!:)

I don't think this series of Life on Mars is as good as the last. I suppose some of the originality has gone but I also feel that too much is being made of Sam's other life back in 2007. It's not working for me as much as a copshow like it did last time.

I think that they are getting us ready for Sam to pop back to the 21st Century, as we're seeing (definately) the second and last series of Life On Mars -sadly:(
It's a pity that the football has booted L.O.M off our screens for a week -Gene Hunt was just warming up, and the lovely Annie Cartwright (minus her uniform) is always a pleasure to watch;)
