does anyone else watch ugly betty on channel4. what a great american series does anyone think the same.it just to show that anyone can work for a glamour mag and theres just so much bitchieness in the show i just think its great.:)

yeah i think it's a great show, i think the actress who plays her is fantastic. It's very film like rather than a drama but i love it all te same.

I refuse to watch anything American apart from Friends. If an American show is being advertised as 'Comedy' I just know it's not going to be in the slightest bit funny! They just cannot do humour, apart from putting the biggest joke that ever was in the White House!

"Ugly Betty"

What a good U.S. import:)

One of the best things to come out of American television for a long time, (along with "MONK" -BBC2 on Saturday afternoons) and it's surely good for two series' -but probably no more.

Channel four have totally played their collection of "Friends" episodes to death, and it's just become SO BORING to see it in the TV listings -week after week after week... :(

I haven't watched Fridays Channel 4 "Ugly Betty" episode yet (its on tape) but I will make time (today) for a cup or two of coffee, a bar of chocolate and a good look at the latest episode;)

I've now seen Fridays Channel 4 episode, and admit that I am still enjoying Bettys' misadventures in the land of fashion publishing, but (as I've said earlier) I can't see more than two series, before they run out of ideas for Betty Suarez (America Ferrera) to get her (err) teeth into [pun intended]:p

Awwe walfordking why so pessimistic? You've got to be a Friends fan, or an anti Ugly Betty fan, methinks!!

Obviously, you don't think that Friends is shown too many times -or you have the DVD collection and are having a bit of fun with me:rolleyes:

well i think that ugly betty is great and yes they do keep repeating friends but come on how many more times do they have to repeat friends. ive just watched this fridays epiposed of ugly betty and its just getting better every week.

I wonder how many series can Ugly Betty last, before it gets a bit stale -its been really good (so far) but it must run out of ideas after a time.

Two series more perhaps!

It's all about Money & Ratings.

SKY saw the "Lost" potential, and Channel 4 just weren't prepared to outbid them for any more series':(
-Which is a pity really, but I don't miss it that much.

I do hope that C4 keep hold of Ugly Betty -I am enjoying her slow (but steady) rise to success:)

can i just say that this programme is a breath of fresh air to channel 4 its the best they have had in a while. however i am also curious if anyone knows when sugar rush is returning please let me know if you do. thanks
