It's time to get Big Brother (celebrity or otherwise) off our screens NOW.

It's taken a foolish gaff, by Jade Goody, to show us how this (so called) entertainment can damage people and racial harmony -what is left of it.

I agree it is time to ditch this garbage now...I have never watched it, but have flicked past it occasionally, I can't understand why anyone finds it entertaining and I am sick of so-called reality TV, it's just a bunch of saddo's wanting their 15 minutes of fame.
You would think that Jade would have the decency to bugger off, but No...there she is being advertised on Hello magazine, no doubt making more money for herself and her trampy family...she ought to be in Shameless, but then again that's insulting to Frank Gallagher :D

I can't believe how bitchy, stupid and immature these people can be!

Insulting Jade is lowering yourself to the standards you believe she is at. The only thing I seen from Jade was bullying and Danielle made far worse comments so did Jermaine but nobody is on their high horse about that. Now they have started insulting Dirk where are all the p.c. people now??

Errm... We've better things to watch/do than look at those Wannabes' arguing with each other.

I would rather Channel 4 show some of those excellent American import dramas, than waste all those hours on BB or CBB.

I'm not lucky enough to have any extra channels, and some nights there's barely anything on -except the Soaps, which are indeed a godsend.:)

I think when BB was first aired in 2000 it was a reasonable social behavioural experiment and as such was interesting. That, as far as I was aware, was the whole point of Big Brother. Since the first series, however, they've held auditions which have attracted the most ridiculous wannabes - people who are so devoid of talent and charisma yet treat the programme as a springboard to launch a 'celebrity' career and lifestyle.

I've just returned from Italy where their Big Brother (Grande Fratello) started last Tueday - the contestants there are down-to-earth, reasonable people who just want to enjoy the experience - none of them expect to be hailed as superstars when they eventually leave the house.

Only in Britain can somebody as thick and pointless as Jade Goody end up losing the show but go on to earn £8m per annum - Endemol and her team of advisors/agents have created a monster and the sooner we see the back of her, the better!

Completely! I was in Italy last week - the day I arrived was the first day of 'Grandefratello', the Italian Big Brother. What a change! Not one hyperactive, fame-obsessed freak in sight! Just ordinary, down-to-earth people in it to enjoy the experience!
