Actress Tamara Wall has said she loved filming the scene in Hollyoaks where her character Grace Black falls from a balcony after a run-in with killer Freddie Roscoe.

Grace has discovered that Freddie (Charlie Clapham) was responsible for her father Fraser’s (Jesse Birdsall) death, but in a heated discussion with Freddie, who was recently seen stabbing Mercedes McQueen (Jennifer Metcalfe) and dragging away her lifeless body, Grace takes a tumble from The Loft’s balcony.

She told Digital Spy: “It is an accident, but I’m sure Freddie wouldn’t be that mortified that Grace has gone over the balcony. They get into a heated discussion and he pushes past Grace to get away from her.

“Obviously with Grace Black wearing her ridiculous shoes, she turns around, snaps her heels and before you know it, she’s over the side of the balcony. Freddie does go to catch her, but maybe he just doesn’t go quite fast enough.”

Talking about filming the scenes, she said: “They were brilliant. We actually had a stunt girl for the scene. Obviously I can’t be trusted to fall 12 feet to the ground. It was very, very odd standing there looking at somebody who looked like me.

“The stunt looked amazing though, and the girl they brought in was great. It was a night shoot and I love those because they’re so much fun to do. I can’t wait to see it on screen.”

Tamara added of her character recently getting in touch with her softer side: “I think the recent storylines have helped the character become more believable.

“When you get generic baddies in soaps, if they’re constantly being bad all the time, I think it makes them quite unbelievable because it’s not real. Unless you’re an absolute psychopath, everyone has got a heart in there somewhere.”
