Ex-Hollyoaks star Twinnie Lee Moore may have failed an audition for The Voice. But now she's on her way to becoming a country music superstar!
Do you remember seeing Hollyoaks star Twinnie-Lee Moore audition for The Voice way back in 2012, singing her version of the Miley Cyrus smash-hit, The Climb? Unfortunately none of the judges were interested in her singing talents and Sir Tom Jones told Twinnie she needed to “own it” more.
Luckily, Twinnie didn’t let that rejection put her off. After playing Porsche McQueen (below) in Hollyoaks for a year and having some heavy emotional scenes during the shock child abuse storyline involving her mum’s predator boyfriend, Twinnie is now pursuing a singing career.
Her debut single, Cool, and follow-up EP were both released last year and reached No.2 in the iTunes Country Chart. She has performed backing vocals for the likes of Pharrell Williams and Robin Thicke, co-written a song for country-pop act The Shires and has been working on her debut album with songwriters in LA and Nashville. Not bad, eh?
And if you are in London next weekend, Twinnie is performing at the C2C: Country to Country music festival at London’s O2 on Saturday 11th March at 12:30. Check out the festival website for all the details.
Gosh, Twinnie is now far from Hollyoaks Village! Check out one of her live video performances below:
