Home and Away’s Jay Laga’aia has admitted he’s sad to be saying goodbye to screen fiancee Ada Nicodemou.
Viewers will see Ada’s character Leah Patterson-Baker call off her wedding to Reverend Elijah Johnson when he decides to carry out relief work overseas.
In an interview with Home and Away‘s Australian website, Jay said: “This Elijah and Leah relationship, you take it on board as a person so it’s sad you won’t get to see each other every day.”
He said he would miss his work on Home and Away, explaining: “It’s very much about creating something for the fans out there. That’s something I’ve truly enjoyed and that I will miss.”
But he added, teasingly: “The Lord moves in mysterious ways so you never know your luck.”
Ada explained that Leah, whose two previous husbands have died, broke off the engagement because she ‘needs to be in a committed relationship where the person is committed 100 per cent'”.
But she urged fans to call for Elijah’s return to the show, saying: “Let’s get him back. I think I’m going to miss him and Leah really misses him already.”
