Unforgettable Katherine Heigl Rosario Dawson

When love ends, madness begins.

One is dark and sensual, the other a tightly wound ice-queen blonde. Polar opposites Rosario Dawson and Katherine Heigl go head to head in the undeniably trashy, enjoyably overwrought psycho-stalker thriller Unforgettable, which comes across as a throwback to the late-1980s/early-90s era of Fatal Attraction and The Hand That Rocks the Cradle.

Dawson’s Julia is attempting to escape a troubled past, but as she adjusts to her new life with handsome fiancé David (Geoff Stults) and stepdaughter Lily (Isabella Rice), she finds herself incurring the pathological jealousy of David’s ex-wife Tessa (Heigl).

The over-the-top action that ensues is both wildly implausible and utterly predictable. Watched in the right mood, however, and the clash between Dawson’s sympathetic heroine and Heigl’s ‘psycho Barbie’ baddie delivers campy, guilty-pleasure fun. Despite the title, though, it’s not a movie that will linger in the memory.
