Kylie Minogue says she wants to have children, but doesn’t know if she is able to get pregnant.
The 42-year-old singer, whose sister Dannii, 38, is due to give birth next month, has always wanted to be a mother, but revealed to The Times at the weekend she fears she may have left it too late. She also revealed her body has been affected after she was treated for breast cancer in 2005.
Kylie, who is dating Spanish model Andres Velencoso, said: “I’d love to have babies, but, it’s very hard. Perhaps if you are resolutely sure that is not the path you want to go down, that’s OK. But if there is an element of doubt, you can’t help but question it. It’s not fun.”
The Aussie pop princess and onetime Neighbours star revealed she has been on a mixture of drugs for five years to make sure the cancer does not return and she has noticed the effects on her appearance.
Kylie said: “I still take medication and there are a lot of women who stop taking the medication because they just can’t stand the side effects.
“You definitely put on weight. I notice it. Weight was never an issue for me. Before I could just eat anything. I’m here and that’s what I have to remember when I start to get down about it. All of me is just fleshier now, but my face changed. It filled out, it puffed up with drugs.”
