Zsa Zsa 'could return to EastEnders', says star

EastEnders' star Emer Kenny has revealed the door has been left open for her character Zsa Zsa to make a possible return to the soap in the future.

The actress joined the show in February after writing and starring in the spin-off EastEnders: E20 but has now filmed her final scenes in Albert Square.

And she said of her exit, "All I can say is it's a very Zsa Zsa ending and it suits the character. The door is open, which is very nice - I'd absolutely consider going back."

Despite speculation that she had been axed by show bosses, Emer added that it was her decision to leave - but admitted that she found it hard.

"It was really emotional," she said. "It's just like leaving behind a massive family. I really miss it but onwards and upwards."

As well as appearing in EastEnders Emer also penned the first episode of EastEnders: E20 which will be screened on BBC Three and also the show's website.

And she promised that viewers would not be disappointed.

"I really wanted it to start with a bang," she revealed. "As soon as you come in it's exciting, there's sex and romance and kissing. I wanted it to be really fresh."
