Big Brother: Housemates row over fish

Just two days in and Big Brother's newest housemates have already fallen out - over fish.

A row erupted between Gerry Stergiopoulos and Seány O'Kane when Gerry expressed concern about what foods he'd rather weren't cooked in the oven in the bedroom - in particular, fish.

He said: "I'm really concerned that the bed linen and everything will stink of fish - and I hate fish."

But Seány remained defiant. "Look Gerry," he said matter of factly, "they put a cooker in the room, so I'm going to use it."

In an effort to avoid a full-blown argument, Gerry responded calmly: "OK, I'm not going to argue. But if the room smells of fish, we all have to sleep in it and there's no windows to open."

Surprisingly, Seany made a sudden U-turn when vegetarian Carole announced that the smell of fish made her feel sick, saying: "Oh, in that case I'll cook it in the kitchen."

Looks like harmony has been restored - for the time being at least.

For highlights, tune in to Big Brother at 9pm on Channel 4.
