Big Brother: New arrivals settle down

The halfway housemates have spent their first night in Big Brother's Halfway House getting to know each other.

While David was sent into the main house to get to know the housemates, the other four explored their new surroundings - and the lack of space was on their minds.

"Do we get to have some fresh air?" asked Shanessa. "I can't stand being in a place - I quickly get claustrophobic."

"Yeah" said Jonty. "I need to be out and about."

Kara-Louise, on the other hand, seemed more nervous about the microphones in the house - and confessed that she hadn't slept for a couple of days before coming into the house.

Jonty, meanwhile, helped the newcomers to relax with some breathing exercises and explored the house with Shanessa - while Amy compared the garden to a school playground.

"It's not nearly as overwhelming as I thought it would be," she admitted.
