DanceX: Ife's off!

DanceX: Ife's off!

Accountant Ife Kuku has become the first person to leave Arlene Phillips' team on DanceX, after she suffered a defeat in Saturday's live show.

For the first time this series, choreographer Bruno Tonioli won the public vote - having been forced to send two of his team members home over the past fortnight after being beaten by Phillips.

Saturday's show had a Rat Pack theme and saw Tonioli's dancers performing a routine to the classic Moondance, while Phillips' team strutted their stuff to Let's Call The Whole Thing Off.

Both judges were impressed by their own team's performances but critical of each other's.

Phillips slated the female members of Tonioli's team, saying they lacked "warmth", while Tonioli accused Phillips of breaking the rules with their routine to the song Rhythm Of Life.

Ultimately, Phillips was disappointed with the result, saying her team should have been the winners this week - but nonetheless she was left with the decision of who to send home.

After saving Ashley, Emanuel, Daniel, Kalvin and Chelsey, Ife and Camilla were left in the bottom two, and had to perform once again, to the song Everybody Needs Somebody, to try and keep their place in the show.

Ultimately though, Ife was voted off even though Phillips herself admitted that she has "never let me down".
