X Factor runner-up Ray Quinn has landed a job presenting his own TV show, according to reports.

The Mirror says that the 19-year-old - who was runner-up to Leona Lewis in the 2006 series of the talent show - impressed TV bosses after his stint as a judge on ITV1's Baby Ballroom: The Championship.

As a result, the channel are set to offer him a show beginning next year - which will have a similar format to the hit Michael Barrymore programme My Kind Of People.

"It is anticipated that the series will feature people from all walks of life with lots of singing and dancing involved," a source told the paper.

"Barrymore's show was a huge hit and touched the viewing audience so it is hoped that Ray's fantastic personality will also make the series a success."

Quinn scored a chart-topping album in March of this year with Doing It My Way, and is set to tour the UK later this month.
