Hell's Kitchen: Abbey gets egg on her face

Hell's Kitchen hopeful Abbey Clancy was almost reduced to tears after chef Marco Pierre White slated her two fried eggs.

The bad-tempered chef challenged the 10 contestants on the new series of the reality show to whip up an egg dish - and model Abbey was soon given a verbal beating for her efforts.

Before tasting it, Marco turned the dish upside down and sneered: "It's best to hide certain things."

He then blasted her for leaving the shell in it, saying: "Do you like a bit of crunch with your egg?

“Are you a member of Densa?

“The secret of frying an egg is basically to poach it in butter. Never forget that."

Abbey said afterwards: "I wanted to cry because I was shocked and he was picking on me."

But she wasn't the only celeb to get a roasting from the top chef.

Big Brother 2 winner Brian Dowling almost cried after being told his omelette was rubbery.

Camp Brian said: "My eyes filled up. I thought, 'Don’t cry'. Let's face it, out of the boys I'm going to be the one who cries."

Hell's Kitchen kicks off on ITV1 at 9pm on Monday night.
