Strictly Come Dancing goes on tour

Strictly Come Dancing is going live with a UK arena tour next year.

Ex-EastEnder Letitia Dean, TV presenter Zoe Ball, former athlete Denise Lewis and The Bill actress Louisa Lytton, will be among the stars taking part.

As with the BBC1 version, the show will pit the celebrity dancers and their partners against judges Arlene Philips, Len Goodman and Craig Revel Horwood.

Audiences at each venue will then be able to vote live from their seats via text message.

Zoe, who came runner-up in series three, said: "I had a blast doing the TV show and now I’ll be doing it all over again - wearing more of those amazing dresses and coming face to face with an audience of thousands at each show."

"The dancing is so much fun, it takes over your life. It's quite stressful but afterwards you want to do it all over again."

Eight celebrities will take part in the show and more names are set to be announced soon.

All proceeds from the tour will go to Children In Need.

The tour opens at the SECC in Glasgow on January 18 and will visit Newcastle, London, Nottingham, Manchester, Sheffield and Birmingham.

Letitia Dean will be taking part in the tour
