Strictly: Stephanie's out!

Stephanie Beacham has become the first woman to be given the boot from the latest series of Strictly Come Dancing.

The Bad Girls star, who danced a quickstep with her partner Vincent Simone on Saturday night, found herself in the bottom two alongside actress Letitia Dean following the judges' scores and the public vote.

Both couples had to dance again in order to try and stay in the competition, with Stephanie reprising her quickstep before Letitia and partner Darren Bennett took to the floor for their rumba.

Afterwards, the judges agreed that both couples had improved their performances since Saturday night's show, and that neither deserved to be in the bottom two. Ultimately however, they gave the edge to Letitia and Darren.

"Oh thank goodness!" said a relieved sounding Stephanie following the decision. "I am so grateful to be let out of my misery, and I am so full of admiration for these glorious dancers. How they do it I do not know."

Next week's show will see all of the remaining 12 couples performing, with one more due to be sent packing on Sunday night.
