Strictly Come Dancing: Kate goes!

Strictly Come Dancing: Kate goes!

Kate Garraway ran out of lives on BBC1's celebrity dance show Strictly Come Dancing on Sunday night.

Kate had been the poorest dancer throughout the competition, but had been saved week after week by a strong public fanbase due to her popularity as a presenter on GMTV.

But in the dance-off on Sunday, the judges were unanimous. First to save fellow dance-off competitors John Barnes and Nicole Cutler was Craig Revel Horwood, with Arlene Phillips then Bruno Tonioli.

Head judge Len Goodman agreed that it was the correct decision.

Kate was again hampered by the injuries which had hampered her early in Strictly Come Dancing, but her paso doble to The Killers' Somebody Told Me fell short of the standard set by others.

When she received the judges' decision, Kate first praised her professional dancer Anton du Beke.

"I first want to say thank you to this man, who is so amazing," she said. "I'm not necessarily sorry to go."

After thanking the public for voting for her, she added: "If i can do it even a little bit well, then everyone out there should go out and give it a go."

Then the tears flowed, before Anton picked her up and twirled her around in lieu of a final dance...
