Billie signs up for second call girl series
Billie Piper will star in a second series of Secret Diary Of A Call Girl, it has been confirmed.
ITV2 has commissioned a new series of the raunchy drama, which was a ratings hit.
Adapted from the Belle de Jour book and blog, Secret Diary Of A Call Girl could also be shown in America.
Broadcasters in the US have expressed an interest in showing both series, which could make Doctor Who actress Billie a huge star over there.
Secret Diary Of A Call Girl won ITV2 its best audience of the year, peaking at over two million viewers in the autumn.
The new series will see Belle's life get more complicated as she meets new characters.
Upmarket prostitute Belle remains anonymous two years after publishing her diaries.
ITV2 Controller Zai Bennett said: "As ITV2's first ever original drama, Secret Diary Of A Call Girl has been a huge creative and commercial success for the channel.
"The bold concept and slick production has really captured the heart of the ITV2 audience and we look forward to seeing more of Billie Piper as Belle on ITV2 next year."
