Mistresses star Sarah Parish is pregnant

Sarah Parish has announced she is pregnant with her first child.

The 39-year-old actress, who married Primeval star James Murray, 33, in December, will give birth in the summer, according to the Daily Mirror.

A spokeswoman told the newspaper Sarah is 'delighted'.

It seems the actress has already been spotted happily showing off her bump while out shopping for maternity clothes near her London home.

Sarah - who has previously appeared in Peak Practice, Hearts And Bones, Cutting It and Doctor Who - is one of the main stars of new BBC One drama, Mistresses.

She plays GP Katie, who has had a secret affair with a terminally-ill patient. Some 4.8 million viewers tuned into the show last week to see her being questioned by the patient's son, who suspects her involvement.

Tuesday night's episode pulled in an average audience share of 20 per cent over the hour and beat a new episode of detective drama Taggart, on ITV1.
