EastEnders' Jim Branning may be back this summer

EastEnders actor John Bardon, who suffered a serious stroke last year, is on the mend and could be back as Dot's husband Jim Branning this summer.
The 68-year-old actor was visited by EastEnders' executive producer Diederick Santer last week and announced his intention to return, reports The Sun.
But he has a way to go, as he is still regaining his ability to walk and talk after the stroke.
A show source said: “John is doing really well and we’re overwhelmed he wants to return. Other people who have suffered serious strokes can be given a boost by watching John.”
John will go back to the EastEnders studios in Elstree, Hertfordshire, in the summer. But the whole plan will depend on his rehabilitation.
