Britain's Got Talent: Auditions week two!

The new series of Britain's Got Talent has reached its second week, with more footage of the best and worst auditions from across the UK.

This week featured hopefuls from Birmingham, London and Manchester auditioning for judges Piers Morgan, Simon Cowell and Amanda Holden, as they decide who to put through to the next round.

Those who do make it to the semi-final will face the public vote, with the eventual winner of the final having the chance to take part in this year's Royal Variety Performance, in the presence of the Prince Of Wales.

However things did not get off to the best of starts in Birmingham, with the panel instantly rejecting hopeful Glyn Carpenter after he stripped down to a novelty thong onstage. "I don't know what that is," Piers said of his act, "but it's not talent."

Eventually, 10-year-old singer Charlie Green saved the day, earning a standing ovation for his audition and wowing the judges in the process. "You were fantastic," Simon said, "I think you're a little star."

In London, the panel were divided by full-time mum Anya Sparks. The hefty 42-year-old failed to impress Simon with her energetic dance routine to Britney Spears' Toxic, but both Piers and Amanda were on her side, ensuring her passage to the next round.

"This is big girls' power!" she told Simon, who described her dancing as "hideous" - but Amanda called her "one hot mama".

And Manchester brought everything from dancing ferret performers to MP impersonator David Watson, who Simon described as "the worst impressionist I have ever seen and heard in my life".

However they were more impressed by the final contestant, singer Madonna Decena.

The 32-year-old, from the Philippines, wept on stage as she told the panel about being parted from her daughters while she tried to make it as a singer - and then reduced Amanda Holden to tears with her emotional rendition of I Will Always Love You.

"I know you were singing that for your babies," Amanda told her afterwards. "You're going to go such a long way in this show because you have got talent."
