The Apprentice: Sir Alan sacks both Jennifers!

The two Jennifers have been given their marching orders on The Apprentice in a shock double firing.

The 10 remaining candidates were sent to Morocco to test their negotiation skills. They had to find 10 items in the markets of Marrakesh, famous for its canny souk traders.

Red-head Jenny Celerier's bid to bribe a shop worker to try to scupper the rival Alpha team from being able to pick up tennis rackets they'd bought backfired badly. Celerier, on the losing team Renaissance, said the ploy had been a 'survival strategy' and she was devastated to be fired.

After Sir Alan branded her 'a bit of a snake' on the BBC One show, the 36-year-old from Leicester said it was like someone hitting her with a sledgehammer.

Viewers saw Celerier ask a shop assistant: "String their rackets tomorrow, say you cannot string them today. We can pay you 10 dirham, 20 dirham if you make the machine break... I'll give you the money." The shopworkers said no.

Celerier admitted to Sir Alan it was a 'cheap trick'.

He later told her: "You know what, it seems to me that you hang on every word I say then turn it on your colleagues... No good."

Clueless project leader Jennifer Maguire was also sacked.

Probably her team's most hilarious error was their seach for kosher chicken in the Muslim city (they ended up buying supposedly 'halal poulet'). The 27-year-old was told by Sir Alan when she was fired that the mistakes were made because her team was out of control.

The Dubliner called it a 'fantastic experience'. Although currently living in Bristol, she plans to return to her home city to set up a makeover and photographic studio.

Next week, the remaining eight Apprentice candidates will have to sell wedding dresses to brides-to-be at a bridal fair at the Birmingham NEC.
