Tori spells out the Beverly Hills 90210 spin-off

Tori Spelling says she's in talks to reprise her role as Donna Martin in Beverly Hills 90210's new spin-off show.

The actress would be joining former castmate Jennie Garth, who played Kelly Taylor in the 1990s show, who has apparently signed on to be a counsellor at West Beverly High.

"Jennie is already on board for the series and we have been in touch about it," People.com quotes Tori as saying.

"I would love to see our characters Kelly and Donna together again and get the chance to work with my friend again."

Beverly Hills 90210 was produced by Tori's dad, the late TV mogul Aaron Spelling.

"It was always my dad's dream and intention to make a new 90210 before he passed, so I know he is proud and he would be even more proud if I were a part of it," said Tori. "I truly hope for the fans' sake that it all works out."

The show, which ended in 2000, made teen stars of Luke Perry, Jason Priestly and Shannen Doherty. The characters for the new show have all been cast for the pilot episode which will be shown on US network CW. It will tell the story of the Mills family who move from Kansas to Beverly Hills.

CW is keeping tight-lipped on whether Tori will be taking part in the new show. "At this point, there is nothing to report," a representative told the website.
