The Apprentice: Michael, your lives have run out!

It had to happen eventually and so it did - after surviving weeks of boardroom nail-biters, Michael Sophocles was fired by Sir Alan Sugar on The Apprentice.

The 24-tear-old 'half Jewish' candidate had recently managed to beg his way back from the brink, but his failure as a team leader on Tuesday was the last nail in his Ferrari's tyres.

"It was the first time in the boardroom that anyone had changed my mind," said Sir Alan after the wedding task failure.

Last week, he successfully shafted his mate Raef after their 'Felliniesque' TV commercial flop. But on Tuesday his failure to rent out a supercar finally drew the withering 'You're fired!' from the boardroom boss.

"He showed he was good for nothing and that's why he was fired," said Sir Alan.

But it hadn't been a foregone conclusion, as Sir Alan revealed he had an 'intuitive vision' about Michael. The vision eventually became clouded.

And one thing he'll take away from the series - he'll never forget what 'kosher' stands for again.
