Sampson's 'Talent' song tops chart

Sunday 8th June

The Singing In The Rain remix used by George Sampson for his winning performance on Britain's Got Talent, has shot to the top of the UK charts.

The new version of the classic song, by Manchester dance act Mint Royale, knocked R&B singer Rihanna off the top spot.

It originally reached number 20 in 2005 after being used in a Volkswagen Golf commercial.

It re-entered the charts at number 28 last week, the day after George won the final.

George won the second series of Britain's Got Talent last weekend after winning the nation over with his energetic breakdancing.

The 14-year-old - who auditioned in series one but missed out on a place in the semi-final - won £100,000 and will perform in front of the Prince Of Wales at the Royal Variety Performance later this year.
