Big Brother: Sylvia favourite for the chop

Sylvia is attracting overwhelming odds to be evicted from the Big Brother house on Friday night.

The housemate is up for the boot after receiving the most nominations from fellow housemates along with Mohamed.

Bookmakers Sky Bet have placed odds of 1/33 for Sylvia to become the second housemate to be evicted. Blonde Stephanie McMichael was the first person to leave the house.

Mohamed, who has had rows with several housemates, seems safe with the Sky Bet pricing him at 10/1 to get the chop.

Helen Jacob, Sky Bet's entertainment manager, said: "If the money is right, Sylvia is a shoo-in to get the boot tomorrow.

"All the money has been for her to get between 80 and 90 per cent of the vote and we've hardly taken a penny on Mohamed, who looks safe for another week."

Since the show began, bookies have received a flurry of bets on cookie monster Kathreya becoming the winner of Big Brother 9.
