X Factor judges Dannii and Cheryl 'in feud'

A huge backstage feud has broken out between new The X Factor judge Cheryl Cole and fellow judge Dannii Minogue, according to the papers.

The News Of The World reports that Dannii - who won the last series with Leon Jackson - is jealous of Cole's close relationship with Simon Cowell - and feels as though she has stolen her thunder on the show.

And a source told the paper that Cowell has had to keep the two apart backstage.

"Those girls absolutely hate each other," the show insider said. "Of course, they're both professionals during filming but when the cameras stop rolling it's clear they have a big problem with one another."

"Simon has tried to intervene but there's nothing he can do about it. He and Cheryl get on like a house on fire. And Dannii doesn't like it one bit."

Auditions for the next series of the show - which begins later this year, are continuing, and will take place in Glasgow this week.
