Eastenders: A new love interest for Callum?

A new character is set to join EastEnders and fall under the spell of charming Callum Monks.

Nineteen-year-old Danielle Jones arrives in Walford hoping to find her independence and explore London.

The sweet but naive teenager soon starts working with Stacey but their friendship could quickly become strained when Danielle falls for Callum.

Actress Lauren Crace, 22, who has landed the role straight out of drama school said: "I'm thrilled to be joining the cast of EastEnders, it's a great first role and I can't wait to see what is in store for Danielle."

Executive producer, Diederick Santer, added: "Lauren is a real find - a lovely, talented, and hugely watchable actress.

"I'm delighted she's making her professional debut with us, at the start of what I'm sure will be a glittering and accomplished career."

Danielle will first walk into Walford in August.
