Kelly to star in Moving Wallpaper and zombie shows

Kelly Brook and Alan Dale are to appear in the second series of Moving Wallpaper - as the stars of fictional producer Jonathan Pope's latest project.

Kelly, who appeared on the last series of Strictly Come Dancing, and Alan, who has enjoyed huge success Stateside in such shows as Ugly Betty, The OC and 24, will star in Renaissance, a one-off drama for ITV.

Moving Wallpaper's original sister show Echo Beach, starring Martine McCutcheon and Jason Donovan, was not granted a second series after it suffered poor ratings.

Ben Miller will be reprising his role as hapless producer Jonathan who, because of a clause in his contract, is offered a pilot show by ITV - Renaissance.

In the drama, Alan plays family man John Priest, whose flight home is attacked by zombies. In a panic, John and his children cross paths with fellow passenger, Samantha, played by Kelly.

But the questions remain: Will John and Samantha uncover the true meaning behind the sinister Renaissance - and can Jonathan Pope ensure that Renaissance will be a success?

Of Renaissance, Jonathan said: "I'm passionate about this project, I think it's very special. I'll be doing what I do best, setting trends and making sexy television.

"I'll be taking the rule book and tearing it up. I'll be boldly going where no television executive has gone before..."

Raquel Cassidy, James Lance, Sarah Hadland, Elizabeth Berrington, Lucy Liemann, Dave Lamb and Sinead Keenan will also star in the new six-part series of Moving Wallpaper for ITV1.
