Heather Mills loses spot on US Celeb Apprentice

Heather Mills has reportedly lost her place in the cast of The Celebrity Apprentice USA after demanding a place in the final irrespective of how she fared.

The Sun reports that 41-year-old Mills was the TV network NBC's No 1 target for the show because of the publicity she would generate.

An NBC source said: “The network were originally very keen on getting her involved. They thought it would be a clever move, attracting lots of publicity for the show.

“But her demands were ludicrous and it soon became clear that getting her involved would be a headache.

“It was the final straw when she said she wouldn’t take part unless she was a dead cert for the final — even after it was explained that wasn’t how the show worked."

In making her apparently outrageous demand, Mills may have nullified the positive publicity she generated after her plucky displays in last year's Dancing With the Stars.

Donald Trump will once again assume the Alan Sugar role in Celebrity Apprentice USA, which begins filming in a fortnight. British TV personality Piers Morgan won last year's series in the US.
