Paris Hilton: 'I literally run a HUGE corporation'

Although many people think she just sits by the pool working on her tan, Paris Hilton has hit back at misconceptions that she does no work.

"I am literally running a huge corporation," Paris told Reuters.

"I have my clothing lines, my champagne, my watches, shoes and purses and dog clothes - every sort of product you can imagine. I am doing movies. I am doing my record right now, producing, starring in a TV show. So it is a 24 hour, seven day-a-week job. I work all the time, so I laugh when I hear people say that."

And with being in the public eye all day also a full time job, it was a natural progression for Paris to star in her own TV show, the upcoming MTV series Paris Hilton: My New BFF (Best Friend Forever).

"I am basically always on camera," she said.

"From the moment I leave my house in the morning, the paparazzi are waiting there until I go to bed at night. So it is natural to be doing this TV show. I don't even know the cameras are there. I still have my private life. When I go home I have my pets and my boyfriend."
