Baby Spice, Britney to appear on The X Factor

Emma Bunton, Kimberley Walsh, Sinitta and Shane Filan are appearing on The X Factor as judge mentors.

According to the BBC, Kimberley will help her Girls Aloud bandmate Cheryl, Emma will assist Dannii Minogue with her category, Shane will aid Louis Walsh and Sinitta will work with Simon Cowell. ITV also confirmed BBritney will perform on The X Factor.

"She will be appearing on the show as a special guest, but we're not confirming the date yet," an ITV spokeswoman said.

Dannii told The Sun: "Emma is one of the biggest X Factor fans so she knows the show inside out. She's been brilliant - one of the best guest judges ever."

The Aussie apparently revealed that she is finding it tough deciding who to keep and who to send home. "It's so hard deciding who to put through and who to send home because it means the world to these people. You're sitting there and you're in charge of these kids' hopes and dreams."

All four judges will work together to pick six acts from each of the four categories - 14-24 girls, 14-24 boys, 25-and-overs and the groups - to make it through to the judges' houses stage.
