Apprentice Cheryl's triumph for Comic Relief

Cheryl Cole has admitted feeling "intimidated" when she took part in an all-star version of The Apprentice for Comic Relief.

The Girls Aloud singer joined Trinny Woodall, Karren Brady, Maureen Lipman and comic Jo Brand on the girls team, for tonight's show on BBC1, The Sun reports.

She told the paper: "When I walked in on the first day I felt intimidated. I thought 'what the hell am I doing here with all these people?'"

The star also revealed that she felt more nervous than when she performs.

"It was much worse than the nerves I get before I go on stage because I was completely out of my comfort zone," she said.

"I knew it was important that we raised lots of money for Comic Relief so I felt a great sense of responsibility."

But Cheryl rose to the challenge and managed to persuade footballer husband Ashley and her friend Simon Cowell to donate £25,000 each.

She also got celeb pals Take That and McFly to man attractions at a funfair.

The girls team was pitted against the boys side, including journalist Piers Morgan, Danny Baker, Alastair Campbell and Apprentice winner Tim Campbell.
