Jessie hints at EastEnders' comeback

It looks like Jessie Wallace wouldn't rule out a return to Walford.

The ex EastEnders star, soon to be seen in forthcoming one-off drama A Class Apart, told The Sun she missed her former alter ego Kat Slater.

"She hasn't gone entirely, though, as they didn't kill her off and they've left the door open for me, which I'm highly grateful for" she said, adding that she would never say never to returning.

A Class Apart is the first time the brunette's fans will see her on the small screen since quitting the soap in 2005.

The actress plays single mum Candy, who resorts to desperate measures to get her son into a good school.

Hot on the heels of that drama comes the BBC Four production exploring the life of music hall star Marie Lloyd, with Wallace in the leading role.

A Class Apart, co-starring Nathaniel Parker and George Cole, is on BBC One on March 23.

Could Jessie return to Walford one day?
