Neighbours' Lou: 'I'm not quitting!'

Tom Oliver has dismissed claims that he is quitting Neighbours.

The 70-year-old actor - who plays Lou Carpenter - admitted he doesn't know when he'll call time on his stint in the Australian soap, but said he still enjoys turning up for work every day right now.

"Who knows, every week is a different week but I am contracted until late in the year. It's still fun and the day I stop having fun is the day I leave and move onto something else," he said.

Tom also revealed that he and his wife are very settled in Melbourne, and have no plans to move elsewhere.

He said: "My wife and I chose to move down to Melbourne and bought this place out in the country and we just love it down here.

"It's a lot quieter than Sydney and, as much as I love Sydney, the only thing I think I miss about it is racing sailing boats along Sydney Harbour."

Neighbours is shown weekdays at 5.30pm on Five.
