Zoe: 'I'm more gran than ladette now'
30/03/2007 - 14:29

Life has certainly changed for Zoe Ball since her Radio 1 days - she says that nowadays her and husband Norman Cook are more 'like granny and grandpa'.
The TV host, who is presenting ITV1's new show Grease Is The Word, was once such a party animal the tabloids invented the word 'ladette' for her and her mates.
"Before, I did too much, but we have quite a chilled out lifestyle now," she admits. "We're not being party animals, we're more like granny and grandpa these days - in bed by 10pm every night. Well, that might be a bit of an exaggeration.
"Building Lego houses is what I'm into at the moment," she laughs. "We go bike riding, walking on the beach at Brighton, and I watch TV, although Norm says I watch too much.
"Coronation Street is my favourite, and I love Desperate Housewives. And I enjoyed watching Dancing on Ice. I'd want to go on it, but no one could lift me, I'm so tall. I'm nearly 6ft and 11 stone, so I'm tall and heavy - there's no way anyone's going to lift me up on ice skates and throw me around."
There may be no appearance on the ice, but Zoe's still got one TV ambition to fulfil.
"If Tess Daly suddenly decided she didn't want to present Strictly Come Dancing, then I would be chomping at the bit because I love the show," she confesses.
