Louis Walsh 'to join US X Factor'

Louis Walsh is being tipped to join Cheryl Cole in a US version of The X Factor, according to the papers.
The Sun reports that Simon Cowell is set to take the format across the pond next year, and wants the two of them to take part.
However Cowell would be unlikely to be a judge on the show due to his American Idol commitments. He is currently in talks to sign a new deal that would keep him on the hit US talent show.
He is however also talking to TV bosses about launching The X Factor as a "friendly rival" to Idol - and the two of them could even be on the same channel, Fox.
"Simon is really keen on bringing the X Factor to America as it has been such a hit in the UK. And he is convinced that the Yanks will love Cheryl and Louis," an insider told the paper.
"He's made no secret of the fact that he wants to expand his TV interests around the world and this is one of the first big ideas he's got.
"It's early days but he hopes to get it on air next year."
