Leona's hard at work in the US

X Factor winner Leona Lewis is in America and hard at work on her debut album, according to reports.

PerezHilton.com says the young star is currently recording tracks in Atlanta, Georgia, with Joss Stone's recent collaborator, Dallas Austin.

As well as Sone, Austin has worked on hit records by girl band TLC and Pink.

According to a source close to the studio: "JC Chasez (formerly of 'N Sync) has also been in the studio with Dallas this week.

"They've been having a great time working together and Leona is really happy with the songs she's done thus far."

The singer has been steadily building a buzz in America, in part thanks to celebrity blogger Perez, who touts her every chance he gets.

American Idol judge Randy Jackson has also been bigging her up, saying that he wants to sign her to his record label in the US.
