A bit of a Fry and Laurie love-in

A bit of a Fry and Laurie love-in

Stephen Fry has revealed that he and former comic partner Hugh Laurie are 'always talking about' teaming up again.

"We're always talking about it," says Stephen. "We see each other all the time whenever he's back in England, so we're not short of each other's company. But as far as working together is concerned, yes it would be charming."

The duo met at Cambridge University where they were both members of the Footlights drama society and they collaborated together on Blackadder, Jeeves And Wooster and sketch show A Bit Of Fry And Laurie.

Since then, their careers have gone in very different directions, with Hugh now starring in award-winning US medical series House.

"I suppose we are all rather grown-up and professional," muses Stephen.

"I love being with Hugh - he's my best friend and I'm so proud of him. His performance is astonishing in House.

"From when I first knew him, I knew that he had this astonishing talent, but if anything it was held back by his being self-deprecating. He'd rather pull a silly face than try to look like a cool James Bond, which is really what he is."
