EastEnders to welcome Mitchell minxes?

Once it was Grant and Phil who ruled Albert Square, and now Walford looks set to be invaded by another pair of Mitchell siblings - but this time they're sisters.

According to reports in The Sun, the new EastEnders characters, named Ronnie and Roxy, will turn up on the day cousin Phil marries lawyer Stella Crawford. They will decide to stay after meeting the rest of the family.

An insider told the paper: "Ronnie and Roxy are set to cause mayhem this summer. They haven't been cast yet but we've got big plans for them over the coming months. EastEnders is about to get a whole lot more glamorous."

When the pair gatecrash the wedding reception, Peggy will recognise the sexy, single girls as the daughters of late husband Eric's brother.

They will then decide to swap their lives as bar owners in Ibiza for a cloudier existence in London.

The BBC was unavailable for comment over the possible new storyline.
