Jade Goody describes 'geezer bird' attack
Jade Goody has told a court how a 'rough looking geezer bird' attacked a boy band singer with a bottle in a nightclub.
The notorious Celebrity Big Brother personality denied suggestions that she was lying to court publicity, telling St Albans Crown Court she was giving evidence because it was the 'right thing' to do.
Jurors have heard that Jerome Simeon, of Sheffield, suffered a serious neck injury after becoming involved in a fight at Sky nightclub in Ware, Hertfordshire, in February 2006.
Hairdresser Zoe Sigorney, 28, of Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, denied wounding the 22-year-old, who sings with a band in Germany, with intent to cause grievous bloody harm.
Prosecutors say Jerome became involved in a scuffle with Sigorney's husband, Wayne, and the hairdresser then hit the singer over the head with a beer bottle before stabbing him in the neck with the broken remains.
He suffered a 15cm wound which doctors said was several millimetres deep.
The court was told that 25-year-old Jade was at the nightclub with friends and had been dancing with Jerome shortly before he was hurt.
